14 - 16 Vocational and Enrichment Coordinator (Reduced Year)

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive through meaningful vocational experiences and engaging enrichment opportunities?

Leeds City College are looking for a dynamic and organised Vocational and Enrichment Coordinator to join our dedicated 14 - 16 Skills Programme team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, building relationships, and making a direct impact on learners’ personal and professional development.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents/carers, and external professionals, providing a friendly and professional presence on campus. You will help coordinate the vocational curriculum, ensuring learners are engaged in high-quality, relevant provision. Alongside this, you will design and deliver a vibrant enrichment programme that broadens learners’ experiences and supports their wider development.

A key part of the role involves leading our work experience offer — sourcing placements, building relationships with local businesses, and visiting students during their placements to monitor progress and ensure a safe, supportive experience. If you have excellent communication and organisational skills, a proactive approach, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people, we’d love to hear from you.

This role is reduced year 39 weeks, the actual pro rata salary is £24,116 with progression to £25,532.

What You Will Do

  • As a Vocational and Enrichment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the 14-16 Skills Programme and its school partnerships. You’ll coordinate a wide range of operational and administrative activities, ensuring learners receive a high-quality experience both in and out of the classroom. From managing vocational day placements to supporting social media engagement and organising celebration events, your work will be key to promoting learner success.
  • You’ll liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including vocational departments, employers, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and support for our students. A core part of your role will involve organising and visiting work experience placements, helping learners gain valuable real-world insight while maintaining safeguarding and wellbeing standards.
  • You’ll also take a lead on attendance monitoring, safeguarding liaison, supporting children looked after (CLA), and ensuring enrichment activities run smoothly. With responsibilities ranging from supervising learners during non-timetabled hours to attending key multi-agency meetings, you’ll be a visible and valued member of the team, playing a crucial part in shaping the learner journey from start to finish.
