Apprentice - Education Engagements & Recruitment (Level 3)

About the Role

This is a Fixed Term contract for 18 months (duration of the apprenticeship)

Apprenticeship pay rates for this post are dependent on age. Please see below for the applicable rates: 

Level 3 Apprenticeship Rates

Under 18 years  - £12,925 per annum
18-20 years        - £17,170 per annum
21+ years           - £22,359 per annum

This apprenticeship supports the planning and delivery of education engagements and recruitment events (both on-campus, at external sites/venues and online) for Luminate’s HE institutions (Leeds Conservatoire and University Centre Leeds).

The apprentice will receive appropriate on-the-job support and guidance, as well as off-the-job training. You will complete a level 3 qualification in Event Assistant.

Occasional evening and weekend work required.

What You Will Do

  • Support the education engagements and recruitment events plan for Luminate’s HE institutions (Leeds Conservatoire and University Centre Leeds).
  • Support with the planning and attend relevant external Higher Education recruitment events and activities in the UK to promote Leeds Conservatoire and University Centre Leeds, speaking to students about their HE options
  • Contribute to the delivery of a plan for ensuring that education engagements and recruitment events are innovative, interactive and engaging across Luminate’s HE institutions
  • Working closely with internal academic colleagues, other professional departments, and the wider marketing and student recruitment teams to deliver an excellent customer experience and respond to day to day queries
  • Collaborate with the digital, marketing strategy, admissions, and international internal teams to ensure that recruitment events are well promoted and supported

  • Knowledge of and passion for events
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Has attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload
  • Can build positive working relationships with colleagues / students / external stakeholders
  • Committed and able to delivering results within agreed timescales
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programmes including, but not limited to, Teams, Powerpoint, Excel, Word
