This is an exciting time to join us an apprentice in the Capital Projects Team.  Our area is part of the wider Estates team which also includes Health, Safety and Environment team, the Campus Facilities team, Property and Maintenance team. Between us all we service the estates across the whole of the Luminate Education Group.  As well as undergoing significant changes to our existing campuses, we are embarking in a growth programme to create a number of new campuses over the next five years which will help us to meet the needs of our students and sustainability.

This is an excellent opportunity to join us during a period of exciting changes, that will make a real difference in the lives of the students that study at our campuses.

You will undertake the Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor apprenticeship.  This is a 3 year course and will involve attending Leeds College of Building one day a week.

What You Will Do

  • Provide advice and guidance to college staff on the Group approach towards capital projects.
  • Communicate and consult with user departments to ensure the appropriate levels of engagement.
  • Monitor and report to the Design Managers on the design development process to ensure appropriate levels of space utilisation in accordance with the Group’s specific requirements.
  • Support all stakeholders throughout the project and ensure their requirements achieved in line with agreed objectives

About You

  • Typically an apprentice will be expected to have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at Grades 4-9 including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent. In addition a BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or one/two A level (s), in a relevant subject such as maths or science. 

    Alternative qualifications and relevant experience may also be considered.

  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written with different people across the Group and externally
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Adaptable to cope with change and uncertainity
