Apprentice Production Chef (Level 2)

About the Role

1- Work within the team at Printworks Kitchen & Bar.

2-  Learning, training and putting into practice food preparation and service tasks.

3- It will also require excellent customer service and ensuring the kitchen food safety standards are followed and a high level of cleaning standards are maintained.

4- Act with honesty and integrity to maintain high standards of ethics and professional standards.

5- Any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, which may be required from time to time.

6- Preparing menu items - (chopping, washing and organising)

7- Using a range of cooking methods ( ie grill, fry, bake, saute)

 

What You Will Do

  1. Ensure the customers are given a prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded.

  2. Work alongside the kitchen and front of house team to prepare and serve freshly cooked and prepared food. 

  3. Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the kitchen.

  4. Ensure food safety requirements are adhered to at all times and all due diligence records are completed accurately.

  5. Responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. 

  6. Serve customers professionally and politely when required

  7. Take payments from customers and operate a till 

  8. Able to work occasional evening and weekend to support on functions and events

About You

• Enthusiasm

• Motivation

• An interest or preferably a passion for ‘food’

• A willingness to learn from our Chef’s & kitchen team

• Calm under pressure

• Ability to communicate well especially in a busy demanding kitchen environment

• A desire to make a career in this field

• An interest in minimising waste and negative effects on the environment would be ideal

  • Work as a team to deliver good food on time
  • Preparing menu items - (chopping, washing and organising)
  • Using a range of cooking methods ( ie grill, fry, bake, saute)
