About the Role
This is a Fixed Term contract for 18 months (duration of the apprenticeship).
Apprenticeship pay rates for this post are dependent on age. Please see below for the applicable rates:
Level 3 Apprenticeship Rates:
- Under 18 years - £15,144 per annum
- 18-20 years - £19,871 per annum
- 21+ years - £23,555 per annum
We are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice. This role has diverse responsibilities, including supporting the administration within the Enterprise and Employability Department including quality teaching, learning and assessment related processes as well as departmental calendars, recruitment and CPD. You will also support a range of administration tasks, including but not limited to: calendar invites, emails and schedules.
The School of Enterprise and Employability offers a wide range of study programmes to 16-18 year old learners. Our course offers range from Level 1 for learners who may be applying to college with limited previous experience or qualifications, to Level 2 which enables students to progress to higher education, apprenticeships, or the world of work.
The Enterprise and Employability Department is a vibrant area with an exceptional and successful reputation for offering a ‘learning by doing’ curriculum. Our department is full of energy and passionate about what we do.
What You Will Do
Support and assist the Deputy Director, Deputy Head and Programme Managers with the effective and efficient running of the Quality Teaching, Learning & Assessment related processes within the Enterprise and Employability Department.
To work with the Deputy Director and Performance & Operations Manager to set up and monitor the departmental calendar of activities, processes and events.
Work with the Performance & Operations manager to support Recruitment and Continuous Professional Development for staff within the Department.
Ability to set up robust monitoring systems and processes for a range of activities that take place within the department.
Keep accurate meeting minutes and circulate agendas for a range of departmental meetings that take place throughout the year.
About You
- Experience of using Microsoft Office systems and databases, (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Knowledge of GDPR/data protection and confidentiality requirements.
- Organised and detail-oriented approach with the ability to work to demanding deadlines and deliver outcomes in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ability to work flexibly across a number of tasks with a solution focused approach to challenges presented.
- Good communication skills including enthusiasm and confidence in establishing professional relationships.
- Good customer service focus.
