Catering & Bar Supervisor

About the Role

To work closely with the Catering & Bar Manager initially in Leeds Conservatoire to manage the student café service to a high standard. It is located in the centre of the building and is always alive with chatter.  The student cafe is the first port of call for the students as it sells great value food.

Based in the heart of Leeds cultural quarter, with excellent transport links close by.

Generally the hours of work are Monday to Friday, with some days 11am to 7pm, and others 2pm to 10pm. Saturday work could be required on an ad hoc basis as part of the working week to meet the need of the business.

What You Will Do

  • To assist the Catering and Bar Manager with the efficient and effective operation of the Group's catering service
  • Following food safety requirements at all times and this information is recorded accurately
  • Ensuring the customer is given a prompt and efficient service 
  • Assisting in the training and supervision of catering staff and student casuals.
  • Ensuring administrative tasks and any record keeping is done in the correct manner

About You

  • Food hygiene level 2 would be an advantage, or willingness to gain this qualification 
  • Relevant up to date knowledge of catering and hospitality would be strongly appreciated.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced bar/catering environment in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to monitor and record due diligence and adhere to strong food safety regulations
  • English and Mathematics at level 2 or equivalent preferable
