About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Course Leader for Joinery at Keighley College to lead the delivery of Level 1 to Level 3 qualifications to full-time learners.
You will be joining a supportive, proactive team who work collaboratively to secure the very best outcomes for our students. Our team is committed to helping learners achieve their full potential and preparing them for successful careers in the industry.
You’ll deliver a range of practical and theoretical sessions, including the City & Guilds Carpentry and Construction qualifications, Health & Safety, and the Principles of Construction. Teaching will take place in our industry-standard, fully equipped joinery workshop, providing learners with hands-on experience in a professional environment.
As Course Leader, you will play a key role in developing and leading the joinery curriculum, ensuring it reflects current industry practices and technological advancements. You will design and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching sessions, develop innovative learning materials, and work closely with industry partners to enhance the learner experience.

What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver high-quality joinery courses
- Develop and adapt curriculum and material materials to meet the needs of learners.
- Assess and internal verify learner work
- Support learners in achieving their educational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all college policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Complete all essential admin duties as required to fulfil the role.
About You
You should be qualified to Level 3 or above in Carpentry or Joinery and have some experience in working within the Construction and Joinery Industry. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about their subject and has a demonstrable commitment to using their expertise to create an excellent teaching and learning experience for our learners.
You should have experience of delivering and assessing within the sector area.
