Customer Experience Assistant (Part-Time)

About the Role

This is a part-time role: 18.5 hours per week. 

We are a friendly, enthusiastic team with a passion for working with a diverse group of people, to deliver an outstanding customer experience to our students, visitors and stakeholders. This role will be based at our campuses across Leeds City Centre.  All the campuses are a 10/15 minute walk from the train station and served by popular bus routes. 

It is really important that you are able to be flexible as you may be asked to work at different campuses within Leeds City to cover sickness/annual leave.  The work pattern is Monday to Friday with various shifts between 7.45am – 7pm depending on which campus you cover. 

What You Will Do

  • Ensuring that the highest level of reception service is delivered consistently to students, staff, stakeholders and external visitors to exceed their expectations.
  • To provide information, data and advice as required by students, staff, stakeholders and external visitors.
  • To ensure relevant queries have an appropriately managed handover and post query resolution.
  • Identify, avoid and resolve problems quickly to enhance the customer journey.
  • Greet and sign in visitors, issue student ID passes, check ID badges, answer telephone calls and any other admin duties required.
  • Work with the Student Recruitment and Admissions teams, school admin and curriculum to ensure customer service support aspects of enrolment, taster days, open days are logistically managed and supported to offer outstanding service to all potential students, influencers and key stakeholders.

About You

  • Experience of working in a customer focused role/environment.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 or above (or commitment to achieving this within one year of appointment). 
  • Must be willing to work across campuses within Leeds City Centre only
