About the Role
This is a part-time role: 29.6 hours per week.

We are currently recruiting an Employee Relations Advisor to join our busy, friendly and supportive HR Team.

Our HR Department provides support and guidance to staff and managers on a wide range of HR-related issues/activities. We work together to find a workable solution, are a collaborative team, and are excited to welcome new talent.
*Actual salary for the 29.6 hours per week commencing at £28,868 with progression to £30,0624 per annum.

What You Will Do
- Provide professional ER advice and support to managers and staff on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and support employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence management, and workplace conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, education sector regulations, and organisational policies
- Support and coach managers in handling ER matters effectively and confidently.
- Conduct investigations, hearings, and mediation sessions where necessary
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all ER cases
- Support change management processes, including restructures, TUPE transfers, and organisational development initiative
About You
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in managing a variety of ER cases, ideally within an education or public sector setting
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with managers, employees, and key stakeholders
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and complex situations with professionalism and discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
