About the Role
Leeds Conservatoire is seeking to engage the services of an experienced live events professional to join the Events Production Team as Events Technical Manager and manage the delivery of live events and technical support for both academic and professional programme.
The role will involve the front-line management of the live events technicians and actively ensuring all performances and workshops occurring in internal and external performance spaces are supported in the most time efficient manner. Managing equipment and stock within performances areas and developing lighting, sound and stage systems ensuring compliance with legislation.
What You Will Do
- Responsibility for technical operation within the Conservatoire’s Performance facilities.
- Lead the technical provision in the delivery of live events, performances and Workshops across the Conservatoire
- Responsible for ensuring the security and maintenance to the highest standard for all the Conservatoire’s technical equipment and for ensuring that a comprehensive inventory is kept of all relevant equipment
- Act as Duty Manager for public concerts and events as required
- To liaise with the Head of Live Event Production in the control and application of staffing and equipment budgets, ensuring the proper administration of all procedures
About You
The successful applicant will have extensive experience of Lighting and Sound systems and there rigging and operation. After the successful launch of the Conservatoire’s Actor/ Actor Musician and Musical theatre degrees. The live events team undertake supporting work of these theatrical productions so a candidate with experience of both lighting and sound in a theatrical context would be advantageous, in particularly live sound mixing and recording.
