Facilities Supervisor - Pudsey Sixth Form

About the Role

We are looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join our Facilities team to manage and provide Estates support for our new Pudsey Sixth Form site. This role will include minor building maintenance tasks and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming site for students, staff, and visitors.

Based at  Pudsey Sixth Form Campus, this role is part of a very small team responsible for ensuring that the teaching and learning activities are able to run as they should by managing the building and systems, and supporting the Facilities Assistant to be able to complete their role.

Campus Facilities serves as the link between curriculum and Estates, coordinating planned and reactive works for Property and Maintenance. The team ensures proper scheduling, consultation, and adherence to procedures during maintenance activities. They also oversee contracts for services like cleaning, security, printing, hygiene, and waste management.

What You Will Do

  • Line manage a Facilities Assistant / Security staff as required, as well as a range of contractors including cleaning, security, maintenance and soft services.
  • You will act as the main point of contact for users 
  • Manage jobs using a computerised customer relationship system (CRM) to ensure jobs are tracked and completed. 
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders  
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety Advisor to ensure all external service providers operate to safe systems of working (SSOW) in full compliance with statutory and Group requirements.

About You

  • Ideally you will have previous supervisory experience in a customer service environment, including responsibility for opening and locking up buildings and building security.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage different stakeholders, communicate effectively, be a team player and stay focused on what needs to be done.
  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent and a preferably a driving licence. 
  • Experience with basic maintenance or DIY tasks, such as basic plumbing, basic joinery, decorating.
  • A commitment to deliver outstanding customer service to our students, staff and users of the campus.
