About the Role
Campus Facilities act as the link between curriculum and Estates as we are the only team of Estates with staff on all main campuses. As such we coordinate planned and reactive works on behalf of Property and Maintenance, ensuring that work is scheduled at appropriate times, relevant people on site are consulted, all procedures are followed before, during and after any contract or in house maintenance visit. We also manage a range of contracts for contracted out services such as cleaning, security, managed printer service, washroom hygiene, waste and many more.
This role is based at Mabgate Campus however there maybe a requirement in the future to change locations so that you are able to develop your knowledge in managing other buildings within the groups. The working week for this role will be Tuesday to Saturday.
What You Will Do
- Line manage a team of Facilities Assistants and Security staff, as well as a range of contractors including cleaning, security, maintenance and soft services.
- You will act as the main point of contact for users
- Manage jobs using a computerised customer relationship system (CRM) to ensure jobs are tracked and completed.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders
- Work closely with the Health & Safety Advisor to ensure all external service providers operate to safe systems of working (SSOW) in full compliance with statutory and Group requirements.
About You
- You must have previous supervisory experience in a customer service environment, including responsibility for opening and locking up buildings and building security.
- You must either have or be working towards a level 4 qualification in a facilities or maintenance area.
- Must have knowledge of building management & equipment loan systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage different stakeholders
