Finance Apprentice (Level 2/Level 3)

About the Role

This is a Fixed Term contract for 15 months (duration of the apprenticeship).

Apprenticeship pay rates for this post are dependent on age. Please see below for the applicable rates:

Under 18 years  - £14,874 per annum          Under 18 years  - £15,144 per annum

18-20 years        - £19,600 per annum          18-20 years        - £19,871 per annum

21+ years           - £23,555 per annum           21+ years           - £23,555 per annum


We are looking for two Finance Apprentices to join our finance team. You will work alongside colleagues to provide shared financial support services to each of the providers within the group whilst studying towards AAT Level 2 Certificate; progression to Level 3 upon successful completion.


  • To do AAT Level 2 you will require Maths and English Grade 4/C or equivalent. 
  • To do AAT Level 3 you will require AAT Level 2 at Merit or Distinction grade and Maths and English 4/C.

What You Will Do

  • Provide a customer-focused, responsive, and quality financial service supporting the finance team in their day-to-day, month-end, and year-end duties.
  • Maintain and contribute towards developing the financial control environment by ensuringfinancial best practice is embedded, fully operated at all times and documented, includingimplementation of updates to financial policies and regulations. 
  • To undertake studies towards the successful completion of the AAT Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. 
  • Comply with Luminate Education Group Financial Regulations and Procedures and maintain a pro-active and diligent approach to fraud awareness

About You

  • We are seeking a driven, focused and passionate individual to undertake this role and explore this incredible opportunity to contribute to the continued success of the group.
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to demanding deadlines and deliver.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • To do AAT Level 2 you will require Maths and English Grade 4/C or equivalent. 
  • To do AAT Level 3 you will require AAT Level 2 at Merit or Distinction grade and Maths and English 4/C.
