About the Role
This is a part-time, reduced-year role: 20 hours per week, 36 weeks per year.
We are looking for a dedicated Food Services Supervisor to join the Food Services and Catering departments.
The food services and catering department are at the heart of the student experience. What You Will Do
- To assist the Senior Chef Manager with the efficient and effective operation of the Company’s catering service, working to agreed service standards and financial regulations.
- To ensure the customers are given prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded.
- To assist in the training and supervision of catering staff and student casuals.
- To deputise for Senior Chef Manager in his/her absence.
- To project a willing and helpful attitude to customers at all times, seek appropriate knowledge of food items, and keep service areas clean and fully stocked.
- To assist in the successful operation of the bars and catering service for events and other functions.
- To carry out clerical activities in respect of daily catering controls, records and complete daily paperwork and update computer systems in accordance with financial procedures and as directed by the Catering and Bar Manager..
- Use of an EPOS till.
About You
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situation.
- Customer service skills.
- To be thorough and pay attention to details.
- To be flexible and open to change.
- The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
- Hold a level food hygiene certificate or willing to work toward getting one.
- Good knowledge of food production method.
