About the Role
As the demand for web systems continues to increase, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Stack Developer to join the Systems Development and Reporting Team at Luminate Education Group.
The postholder will join a small but established team of like-minded professionals, supporting each other towards their shared aims of improving the student experience and delivering high quality systems and data.
What You Will Do
- Work within the MIS department to deliver web developments that meet the current and future needs of Luminate Education Group.
- Assist in taking forward the design and development of web applications.
- Continually review existing web applications, SOAP / REST APIs, and databases to improve and optimise their functionality, security, accessibility, and the user experience.
- Develop and maintain existing SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) web databases, queries, stored procedures and timed tasks across multiple servers.
- Work proficiently in Azure DevOps for efficient collaborative project management to fully document web development projects, technical specifications and change management process. Revise documentation as needed to maintain a workable and effective resource.
- Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to guarantee that web applications are readily available; downtime is kept to an absolute minimum; data is secure and GDPR compliant; and software and digital certification is kept up-to-date.
- Work closely with internal ITSS departments to continually review database and server architecture and contribute to the design and specification of new architecture to serve current and future needs.
About You
- You will be qualified in English and mathematics at level 2 or above
- Ideally you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, though this is not an essential requirement
- You will have excellent knowledge and skill in web application development using ASP.NET / C# / .NET Framework
- You will have excellent knowledge and skill in HTML, CSS, JQuery / JavaScript
- You will have good knowledge of RDBMS / Microsoft SQL Server, and web security principles
- Ideally, you will have:
- Knowledge and skill in SOAP or REST API development using ASP.NET / C# / .NET Framework
- Knowledge of URIs, HTTP methods and response codes
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Knowledge of version control systems and Agile software development methodology / DevOps
- Experience with ecommerce platforms and payment gateways
- Experience of web application development in a medium to large educational or business environment.
