Group Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment to join us based in Leeds.  This is a key leadership role within Luminate Education Group that will lead and manage our FE and HE marketing strategies. This is a great time to join as this is a new role as we bring together our FE and HE marketing, admissions and student recruitment teams under one leadership role and align key group principles. Reporting into a member of our Executive Leadership Team you will manage 4 Heads of Department with overall responsibility for a team of 100 staff. As a member of our senior leadership team you will have overall responsibility for core marketing, insight and student admissions for national and international students.

 

What You Will Do

  • Responsibility for all Luminate Education Group corporate marketing and recruitment activity with a focus on enhancing the reputation of the group and the development of the member brands.
  • Oversee the student recruitment function, leading on the development of local, regional, national and international student recruitment strategies and ensuring recruitment and conversion targets are set and achieved.
  • Define and oversee the student recruitment conversion plans across Further Education and Higher Education.
  • Lead on market research and insight to inform market positioning and new product development.
  • Provide dynamic, visible and effective leadership internally and externally.
  • Oversee the development of collaborative partnerships with overseas institutions and recruitment agencies.

About You

  • Experience working at strategic marketing level in an education setting.
  • Successful track record of delivering marketing, recruitment and conversion strategic initiatives.
  • Previous experience of planning targets and delivering innovative marketing and student recruitment campaigns, processes, tools and projects.
  • Proven experience of brand development and sub brand introductions.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills including team management, financial resource management, the ability to chair meetings and project groups, and to be an effective senior team member.
  • Strong ability to analyse written and statistical information and identify implications.
  • Previous experience of cross functional relationship management and engagement.
