The post holder will offer a customer focussed responsive and quality administrative service whilst ensuring efficient, accurate and timely processing of purchasing transactions.

 In this varied role, you will oversee all curriculum administration and provide operational support to ensure the smooth running of the department. What You Will Do

  • provide a professional administration service for the University Centre
  • Undertake administrative and clerical tasks, including word processing duties, use of databases and spreadsheets, mailshots, email, photocopying and filing
  • Take detailed minutes at various meetings and maintain confidentiality
  • Deal effectively and professionally with telephone and face to face enquiries from staff and the public
  • Carry out general admin duties relating to curriculum areas, including setting up registers, timetables, letters, change requests, chasing references/results.
  • Maintain student records including processing enrolments, withdrawals and change requests
  • Maintain student finance records (SFE system) confirming registration, attendance and bursaries.
  • Create and maintain effective filing and computerised systems as required
  • Deal with requisitioning for goods and services, and process invoices using the College’s financial portal
  • Assist at enrolment and other events such as Graduation, including evenings and weekends as required.

About You

  • Relevant Qualification at level 5 or above or equivalent relevant experience
  • English and Maths qualification at Level 2 or above.
  • It is essential that you can work well with within a team and on your own initiative
  • This role will need engagement with the department, curriculum areas and other stakeholders, so excellent communication skills will be an advantage.
  • You will need to be highly organised and focused driven.
  • Have a can do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Be organised, with the ability to work flexibly and manage workloads within set timeframes
  • Promote a positive image.
