The curriculum offered at UC Leeds is vocationally focused and diverse in nature. 
The department of HE People Services includes a range of BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), Top Up programmes, Apprenticeships, professional courses and Access courses within areas of Law, HR, Health, Teacher Education, Sports Performance and Physical Education. 

Interviews for this role will be held on either 16/17 December 2024.

What You Will Do

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Head of Department to lead curriculum staff to contribute effectively to the strategic aims of the University Centre and ensure that local, regional and national priorities are met.

The Head of department role also ensures that the department efficiently runs and delivers financial contribution targets as detailed within the annual business plan.

Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with a track record of engaging with employers and involving them in curriculum development including guest speakers and involvement in assessments.

About You

We are looking for a Head of Department who is able to drive this department forward in terms of growth and curriculum development. We are looking for a motivated person who is able to develop employer networks and engage and implement strategic planning to build exciting new opportunities for our students.

Not only are we looking for someone who can develop the department in terms of curriculum opportunities, but we are looking for an experienced individual who is able to maintain excellent quality measures and standards whilst meeting requirements set by both OfS and Ofsted.
