About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Manager for Fabrication and Welding to lead and manage our provision in this vital area of technical education. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving quality improvement, curriculum development, and high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
What You Will Do
Lead the strategic planning and operational delivery of Fabrication and Welding programmes (from Entry Level to Level 3 and beyond).
Inspire and manage a team of teaching staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, learner-focused education.
Work closely with employers, awarding bodies, and stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and progression opportunities.
Monitor and drive improvements in student outcomes, retention, and destinations.
Ensure compliance with awarding body standards, health & safety regulations, and internal quality assurance processes.
Support the development of apprenticeship and commercial training offers in Fabrication and Welding.
About You
You will be an ambitious curriculum leader with:
A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Fabrication and Welding or a related engineering discipline.
Proven leadership or coordination experience within an FE or training environment.
Strong knowledge of awarding body frameworks (e.g. City & Guilds, EAL).
A track record of delivering excellent outcomes for learners and driving continuous improvement.
The ability to lead by example, build strong teams, and foster an aspirational learning environment.
