About the Role
This is a full-time, reduced-year role: 37 hours a week, 39 weeks a year.
We are looking for a Receptionist to join our Foundation Studies Team at Joseph Priestley Campus, Beeston. A special educational provision which provides learners with practical community and life skills experience and work placement opportunities within a very busy Campus. This Front of House position is the first point of call for all students, staff, parents and all external visitors. There will be Administrative tasks to complete, which will support the Administration & Management teams and all absences are followed up and recorded using the college systems.
We currently have approximately 180 Foundation Studies students on site, with a view to numbers increasing.
What You Will Do
- You will provide a warm welcome to everyone on site, ensuring visitors are signed in and aware of the College Safeguarding procedures.
- Support the department in ensuring that student attendance is recorded and absences are followed up and recorded appropriately. This will involve contacting students, parents & Carers or Transport departments.
- You will support the Campus Management team in ensuring that the Campus runs smoothly at all times and provide support to the Administrative team, sending letters and inputting data into databases and spreadsheets.
- No two days or tasks will be the same in this busy, student and customer centred role and you will be required to deal with enquires in person, by email and on the telephone.
About You
- Have extensive experience of working in a very busy customer centre role, preferable within an educational setting.
- Experience of work with databases would be an advantage in this role.
- Have excellent proven IT skills, including a working knowledge of the Microsoft and Google suite of programmes.
- Have a good eye and attention to detail, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and will be able to work as part of a team and on your own imitative.
- Experience of working within SEN provision would be an advantage.
