Senior Digital Marketing Executive

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Executive to join our team. The marketing department at Luminate Education Group (which includes Leeds City College, Keighley College, Harrogate College, and Leeds Sixth Form College) takes proactive, strategic responsibility for developing and delivering marketing strategies for the Colleges and key audiences within the Group to ultimately drive student recruitment.

The Senior Digital Marketing Executive sits within the Marketing department at Luminate Education Group. You will report to the Digital Lead and will directly line manage x1 Digital Marketing Executive and x1 Junior Digital Marketing Executive.

We are based at Leeds City College, Park Lane Campus, which is a short 10/15-minute walk from the train station. We are able to offer hybrid working (2 days working from home) in this role alongside other amazing benefits including 39 days annual leave. 

What You Will Do

  • Provide line management and support to the Digital Marketing Executive and Junior Digital Marketing Executive. 
  • Under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Lead and in collaboration with the strategic marketing team, lead on and implement digital marketing plans for assigned FE brands and target audiences. 
  • Oversee and implement paid digital campaigns, monitoring their performance and return-on-investment. Create post campaign reports to share with the wider team on our Digital performance. We primarily implement paid campaigns on Google Ads Suite, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn.   
  • Develop and deliver SEO strategies for the assigned brand or target audience, working with the Communications team and the Web team to implement these changes. 
  • Oversee email marketing campaign strategies, ensuring A/B testing, audience management and template development are of great standard. 
  • Collaborate with the Market Insight team to ensure that digital marketing activity is insight-led and well monitored/reported.  We work with platforms such as GA4, PowerBi, Ahrefs, and CrazyEgg.

About You

  • Must have previous experience of leading and delivering successful digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience in line management as you will responsible for supporting other members of the Digital team.
  • Must be able to use project management tools to aid digital campaign management.
  • Experience of leading paid digital campaign optimisation including A/B testing.
  • Experience of managing effective relationships with external stakeholders i.e. digital suppliers and internal stakeholders, as well as having a good working relationship with the wider marketing team.  
  • Have the ability to advise others on digital marketing best practice.
  • Good technical skills, familiar with using platforms such as Google Ads Suite, and confident in strategising for SEO, PPC and email marketing tools.
  • An understanding of the FE or wider education sector is desirable but not essential.
