About the Role

Fixed Term contract until December 2024

This is an exciting opportunity to join the HE Registry team at University Centre Leeds as Senior Examinations and Assessments Officer, managing and developing the institution’s processes for the organisation and conduct of all formal examinations and assessments.

The post holder will provide secretary support to the Board of Examiners and its associated sub-committees, and will manage the dissemination of results and certification to  University Centre Leeds students, staff and external bodies.

What You Will Do

The Senior Examinations and Assessments Officer will support the HE Registrar in managing and developing University Centre Leeds' processes in relation to formal assessments and examinations. This will include operating the running of, and providing secretarial support to the Board of Examiners and its associated sub-committees and managing the dissemination of results and certification to students, staff and external bodies.

You will lead on the recruitment and training of External Examiners and oversee input and verification of awarded assessment marks.

About You

The Senior Examinations and Assessments Officer will have relevant and up-to-date subject knowledge and experience in the higher education sector, and working within FE/HE exams and/or Registry functions. Experience of using a range of IT systems and working on administrative tasks is essential.
