Senior Market Insight Analyst

About the Role

The Market Insight team at the Luminate Education Group undertake a range of insight and market research activities that support the marketing department with the recruitment of learners and communications to stakeholders; this includes brand perceptions studies, market analysis, competitor analysis, product development and evaluation, campaign research, campaign reporting and digital analytics.

We work with teams across all aspects of the marketing function, including the strategy team, creative design, web, digital marketing, events, as well as external agencies we work with for specialist support. As Lead Market Insight Analyst, you’ll work with these teams to understand what they do and help drive improvement with an evidence-based approach. You’ll also work alongside the Market Insight Manager to communicate results to senior stakeholders.

Interviews for this role will be held in January 2024.

What You Will Do

Your primary focus will be managing a team of Market Insight Analysts. On a day to day basis you will be planning their workloads and supporting them to deliver high quality and impactful insight. You’ll also work with other team leads and the management team to understand insight requirements and brief these into the team. 

Alongside the Market Insight Manager, you will plan activity to deliver against the Market Insight Strategy and create training plans for the Market Insight Analysts. A key part of this is communicating the insight produced to key decision makers across the group, and translating complex research into actionable recommendations and analysis.

We use a range of analytics tools in our function. Training will be provided where required to bring you up to speed. These include, but aren’t limited to the following:

  • Power BI

  • Google BigQuery

  • Google Analytics Suite (GA, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console,etc.)

  • Vector 

  • Emsi

  • Hotjar

  • SEMRush

  • Facebook Ad Manager

  • Google Ad Manager

About You

  • You’ll have experience in a market insight role, ideally as an analyst. This needn’t be in education as long as you’re an inquisitive researcher!
  • Have up to date knowledge of market research techniques.
  • Have up to date knowledge of digital analytics and BI tools such as Tableau/PowerBI
  • Have experience of leading a small team.
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
