Student Opportunities and Enrichment Coordinator

About the Role

Leeds City College is seeking a Student Opportunities and Enrichment Coordinator to join the Student Life Enrichment team. The post holder will be responsible for developing student leadership opportunities, including ambassador programmes, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and NCS, across the college.

Through this work we aim to develop student skills, widen participation, ensure learners have a voice in college and the community as well as enhancing their life experiences.

The team is responsible for a wide range of areas, including cross-college enrichment, student voice, volunteering, student leadership, and social action. 

Due to the nature of the role, Leeds City College welcomes applications from candidates who have experience in partnership work with a range of stakeholders, coordinating a wide range of events, activities, and experiences, and having up-to-date knowledge of student leadership opportunities and student/youth voice.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate a campus-based model to engage students in student voice, enrichment, social action, and leadership opportunities.

  • Develop and manage partnerships with key stakeholders both locally and nationally to create and ensure that these opportunities are accessible to our students.
  • Work closely with curriculum areas to coordinate the enrichment programme for a designated campus to engage learners in various different activities/opportunities.
  • Responsible for the line management of x2 Enrichment Assistants. 
  • Ensure all data is captured and reportable.

About You

  • Previous experience in partnership work with a range of different stakeholders.
  • Able to coordinating a wide range of events, activities and experiences for students.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of student leadership opportunities and volunteering.
  • Must have English & Maths at GCSES grade C/Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Able to lead and manage a small team successfully.
  • Experience in income generation, including acquiring funding from external sources.
