Teacher - Hairdressing (Variable Hours)

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Teacher of Hairdressing to deliver on our Hair and Beauty courses at Keighley College. Working on a flexible basis with variable hours, you will be responsible for delivering and facilitating learning across the College. We are looking for someone who can encourage, inspire and develop knowledge for students in both our 16-19 provision and a range of adult learners too. Based on site at Keighley, the curriculum area has excellent modern facilities and provides a professional and friendly environment to study and work.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare, assess and deliver classes to student groups, with clear intentions and well-defined outcomes.
  • Deliver taught classes in our well equipped College and workshops 
  • Manage student progress and achievement 
  • Evaluate students' work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate in personal development, working to develop your own professional knowledge and skill set.

About You

You will:

  • have recent industry experience and knowledge of contemporary trends in the industry 
  • A creative, enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking practitioner, who works well in the wider department
  • The ideal candidate will work well as part of a team and be resilient, adaptable and enthusiastic with experience of the industries.
  • You are student focused, building a supportive and creative environment for students to develop their practical skills.
  • Innovative and creative
  • You will be an excellent communication skills
