About the Role
Leeds City College are looking to recruit an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our growing Department of Sustainable Technology and Motor Vehicle at the Printworks Campus.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of Maths within a rapidly developing STEM area, supporting learners on courses in Motor Vehicle, Electrical Installation, and Sustainable Technologies.
Our department is new, ambitious, and striving for outstanding. This role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping Maths delivery across vocational programmes and to help us develop Core Maths and Further Maths options as our curriculum expands.
What You Will Do
Teach GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to 16–18-year-old and adult learners enrolled on vocational study programmes.
Plan and deliver engaging, contextualised Maths lessons that support students’ vocational studies and career aspirations.
Contribute to the development of Maths within the STEM curriculum, including potential new pathways such as Core Maths or Further Maths.
Work collaboratively with vocational teams to embed Maths across the curriculum and improve learner outcomes.
Support departmental initiatives that drive quality, innovation, and progression.
About You
You are a qualified Maths teacher (or working towards a recognised teaching qualification) with experience of delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
You have a creative and flexible approach to engaging learners, particularly those from vocational or technical backgrounds.
You are passionate about raising standards and supporting achievement in Maths across FE learners.
You have a strong commitment to professional development and to contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
