Attendance and Data Coordinator (Part Time, Reduced Year)

About the Role

Pudsey Sixth Form College are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our growing support team as an Attendance and Data Coordinator at Pudsey Sixth Form College. 

This will involve working closely with both curriculum and support staff in meeting the needs of our students and supporting them to reach their potential. We are a highly aspirational, but inclusive provider and are looking for someone who shares our values to join us.

Please note, this is a part time, reduced year contract. The working pattern is 32 hours per week over 39 weeks of the year. The pro rata salary is £21,274 with progression to £22,524 per annum.

What You Will Do

  • Working with both curriculum and support teams you will support students to improve their attendance, supporting them by removing barriers to learning. 
  • You will oversee a cohort of students and will use data to inform you of which students are in need of support, making contact with parents as well as subject teachers about the support measures put in place.
  • Give academic support, extra encouragement, coaching and pastoral support to all students at Pudsey Sixth Form College
  • Work with teaching staff to support the achievement of excellent outcomes for each student.

About You

  • Good general education at NVQ level 2 or equivalent including literacy & numeracy at Level 2.
  • Be passionate about supporting learners to achieve their best.
  • Excellent IT skills - Especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Be a problem solver and a good communicator.
  • Well organised and work well as part of a team and individually.
  • Good knowledge of attendance management strategies. 
  • Experience of working with disengaged/ disadvantaged young people in an educational setting.
