About the Role

Keighley College is looking for a dynamic professional with excellent leadership and management skills to support the running of the Building Services curriculum Area at Keighley College.
Working in a state-of-the-art facility, you will be responsible for all aspects of department leadership, reporting to the Head of the Department. You will drive the culture of our campus for both Staff and Students.
You will have a proactive, can-do attitude, be positive about change and innovation, and be able to drive and support consistency and improvement within the department. They will inspire colleagues, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, working across the department to embed different ways of delivering teaching, learning and assessment.
The successful candidate will be a people person with exceptional communication skills, able to guide others through change. Demonstrating coaching experience and a background in teaching and learning that fosters our culture of working with and supporting colleagues to develop.
What You Will Do

Reporting to the Head of Study Programmes. This is a crucial role in providing outstanding leadership and supporting the development of colleagues. As well as ensuring a high-quality student experience.

The post holder will assist the Head of Department to create a positive learning and assessment environment. Leading the drive to achieve high standards in behaviour and student engagement throughout the department and cross-campus.

To support the Head of Department to deliver the curriculum plan that meets the local skills needs.

To implement quality assurance processes for all aspects of their allocated range of subjects. Carrying out standard line management duties with their direct reports.

Support with the Growth of Commercial activity
About You
- You will have extensive experience of quality, processes, curriculum and PDBA development and have the ability to enable staff to deliver consistently good or better teaching, learning and assessments.
- You will be an effective team player who is able to work with and lead teams, motivate staff, provide training where necessary and carry out appraisals.
- You should be inspirational to students and be able to demonstrate how you effectively manage student behaviour.
