What You Will Do
- Monitor and track learner attendance, identifying barriers to learning and supporting interventions for learner progress.
- Carry out interventions, setting targets for students to achieve.
- Work with teaching staff to support the achievement of excellent outcomes for each student.
- Support vocational departments with learners identified as "At Risk" of leaving their study programme and achieving their potential.
- Give extra encouragement, coaching and pastoral support to all students inside and outside the classroom.
About You
- We are looking for a friendly and approachable team player with experience of working in further education supporting young people particularly those from a disengaged / disadvantaged background.
- You will be familiar with multi agency working across teams and departments (internal and external) to best support young people.
- You will have knowledge and understanding of barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these.
- You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team based environment.
