About the Role
We are looking for a full-time GCSE English Language Teacher to join the Creative Arts School of Learning at the Quarry Hill Campus, located in the heart of Leeds. We seek an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about teaching and learning and can inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
What You Will Do
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
- Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
- Create individual SMART learning targets linked to the learner's programme of study.
- Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
- Assess student work, and provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire the learner to improve.
- Participate, as appropriate, in the College’s examination process.
- And any other ad hoc duties commensurate with this role, including checking numerous forms of data and keeping accurate student tracking records.
About You
- The successful candidate will hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (eg:Cert Ed , PGCE),
- Relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject,
- English and Maths at Level 2 or above and a willingness to improve in one or both disciplines to level 3 or above,
- Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector,
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
- You will promote team positivity and embrace all challenges with a positive 'can do' attitude.
- You will recognise the importance of clean and reliable data and strive to ensure any student data reflects this.
