Departmental Administrator

About the Role

Leeds Conservatoire is seeking a dedicated Departmental Administrator within the School of Music Production & Events. The Departmental Administrator will be responsible for administrative support to all areas within the department including liaising with other services across the conservatoire (e.g. finance, procurement, purchase ledger, HR, registry, timetabling, exams).  Part of a small team that will develop consistent processes and systems.

What You Will Do

  • Provide comprehensive support across all activities within the School of Music Production & Events, covering UG and PG course portfolios, new course development, curriculum enhancement, and commercial activities
  • Responsible for administrative tasks including procurement, invoicing, staff recruitment, registry, timetabling, and exams
  • Act as the primary contact for students, staff, and other departments regarding program delivery
  • Prepare reports for the Head of the School for business planning, forecasting, and periodic review, supplying budget-related information to the school team
  • Administrative support in compiling and sharing course information and documentation

About You

  • Possess A levels or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • Previous experience in providing administrative support across multiple areas/teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in communicating with diverse stakeholders, including students and staff
  • Skilled in collating, interpreting, and analysing data from various sources and systems
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
