Events and Production Co-ordinator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

About the Role

Leeds City College are looking for an Events and Production Co-ordinator to join our team. This role is part time 22.2hours per week and fixed term until May 2026.

We seek to appoint an organised and approachable Events & Production Coordinator who, working alongside our technical, teaching and estates teams, can ensure the smooth running of these public events and grow our commercial lettings. You will work closely with our growing Backstage Production team supporting them with administrative duties and internal events.

The School of Creative Arts at Leeds City College is home to our music, performance and production students. These talented young people regularly share their work through public performances and events keeping the building buzzing with gigs, theatre shows and sharings. When students are not here we open our spaces for external lettings to local companies and organisations, an important revenue used to the benefit of students.

What You Will Do

  • Act as duty manager for Quarry Hill events, which may include (but not be limited to) public performances, studio hires and student work.  

  • Ensure that public events in studio, performance and hired spaces run smoothly through managing members of the public. 

  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations of the relevant performance spaces are being adhered to. 

  • Responsibility for building evacuation and fire panel training 

  • Marketing of departmental events. 

  • Managing box office for Chroma Q and other dep events

About You

  • Industry experience of working in theatre

  • A creative, enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking practitioner.

  • The ideal candidate will work well as part of a team and be resilient, adaptable and enthusiastic with experience of the backstage industries.

  • Good organisational and administrative skills

  • You are student focussed, building a supportive and creative environment for students to when working on performances and shows.

  • We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and would be happy working with people as well as being able to work independently when required.
