About the Role
Pudsey Sixth Form College are recruiting for a High Needs Engagement Coach to join our SEND and High Needs Department. A number of our learners currently have a high level of need and we are looking for the right person to provide additional support in order that these students are able to thrive, be successful, and achieve their full potential whilst they are with us.

What You Will Do
- Work closely with both the High Needs and Curriculum teams at Pudsey Sixth Form to provide specific PSHE & academic support to our High Needs learners alongside the delivery of the PSHE curriculum to the wider cohort of students.
- Work closely with our high needs learners who face a number of barriers to learning every day, these can include social, emotional, mental health and challenging behaviour. This work may be in class, within small groups or on a one to one basis.
- You will provide direct academic support using online support technology and educational platforms.
- The role will include communicating with parents, external agencies and curriculum staff to provide a holistic approach to support and will require accurate monitoring and tracking with regular updates to senior staff.
About You
- Experience of working with young people with social, emotional needs and challenging behaviour.
- Experience of working in a team in an education setting.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines, using own initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including students, college staff, parents and employers
- Ability to identify and report on barriers to learning and liaise with colleagues to support strategies for improvement.
- Ability to innovate and enthuse learners to succeed in learning.
