About the Role
Keighley College are seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Business Studies programmes, helping learners develop a strong understanding of how businesses operate in real-world contexts.
You will play a key role in supporting students to achieve excellent academic outcomes in Level 2 and 3 Programmes.
As part of a committed department, you will collaborate with colleagues to share good practice, develop resources, and continuously improve teaching and learning. You will also support the pastoral and personal development of learners, ensuring they are prepared for progression into further study, apprenticeships, or employment.

What You Will Do
- Ensure that the preparation, marking, assessment and moderation are completed promptly and efficiently within agreed timescales.
- Effectively manage the delivery of units for each individual learner, including appropriate support where necessary.
- Continuously demonstrate a commitment towards further professional development including the application of new technologies to improve the effectiveness of learning management.
About You
- You will hold a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) and a relevant vocational qualification.
- You will be an enthusiastic, motivated, and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher who is passionate about teaching and committed to helping learners succeed. You will be someone who can bring business concepts to life, making them relevant, engaging, and accessible to a wide range of students.
- You will have strong subject knowledge across key areas of Business Studies, including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and enterprise.
- You will be confident in delivering high-quality lessons that challenge learners, promote curiosity, and support excellent progress.
- The successful candidate will be a reflective practitioner who is always looking to improve their teaching practice and respond to the needs of their learners.
- You will have high expectations for behaviour and achievement, and you will be able to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- You should be well organised, adaptable, and able to use assessment effectively to track progress and inform planning. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as you will be working closely with colleagues to share resources, develop curriculum materials, and contribute to departmental improvement.
